My therapeutic approach is relaxed and informal with a focus on the ‘now’ and how we together, can help you move forward more positively. I believe that building a strong rapport with my clients is the key to effective counselling. I offer talking therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which can be used jointly in session to help you achieve your goals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of symptoms from low mood and anxiety to OCD and trauma.
CBT is solution-focused; helping to identify negative or unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, and then provides the tools such as thought records and journals to identify the root of the problem, and how we can best help you move to a more positive path. CBT works on providing practical tools that allows the client to make positive changes. I use CBT tools and techniques in session to explore client’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours and find tools to help you feel more positive. I love being able to work with a broad range of clients with a variety of symptoms. I also offer talking-therapy if CBT is not suitable for the client's goals. This is useful when client's are attending for longer-term therapy or have a variety of presenting symptoms they wish to work through. I offer therapy online via video call or phone call; as well as having some availability for face to face if suitable.
