About Madalina
People usually reach out for therapy when something no longer feels sustainable. Relationships may become strained, stress or anxiety can build, or familiar ways of coping may stop working. As an accredited integrative psychotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience across NHS, forensic and private practice settings, I offer a thoughtful and engaged therapeutic space that balances emotional depth with practical movement forward.
My work integrates relational and psychodynamic understanding with experiential approaches, including psychodrama informed therapy, helping clients move beyond repeating patterns, strengthen relationships and develop greater clarity, resilience and self trust. My path into psychotherapy grew from a longstanding curiosity about people, how relationships shape us, how we carry past experiences into the present, and how meaningful change becomes possible even after difficult or painful chapters in life.

Key Focus Areas
I work with adults and adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional, relational and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress, low self esteem, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, bereavement, miscarriage, life transitions, divorce, menopause, identity concerns and work related stress. I also support clients experiencing addiction related struggles, postnatal depression, bipolar presentations, self harm, suicidal thoughts, ADHD related challenges, bullying, stalking, harassment and issues relating to sexuality, sexual identity, psychosexual concerns and relationship diversity.
Because of my background across NHS, forensic, community and private practice settings, I am particularly comfortable working with complexity and trauma informed work where multiple life factors may intersect. I am an accredited integrative psychotherapist registered with UKCP, BACP and BPA, and my work combines relational psychotherapy, psychodynamic understanding and experiential approaches, including psychodrama informed therapy, allowing therapy to be thoughtfully tailored to each individual.
Therapeutic approach
My style is warm, engaged and collaborative, whilst also thoughtful and appropriately direct when it helps move the work forward. I aim to balance emotional safety with honest exploration, creating a space where clients feel supported but also gently encouraged to reflect more deeply and consider new perspectives. Clients often describe sessions as grounded, reflective and containing, but also active and purposeful, with space for humour, humanity and authenticity within the work.
My approach is integrative, relational and psychodynamically informed, meaning I explore how past experiences, relationships and emotional patterns may shape present thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Alongside reflective talking therapy, I sometimes use experiential approaches inspired by psychodrama to support emotional processing and insight when words alone feel limiting. Because I work integratively, therapy is always tailored thoughtfully to the individual, with the therapeutic relationship itself remaining central to meaningful and lasting change.
Modalities
Session Types
Individual
I work with adults in individual therapy, offering an integrative, relational and psychodynamic approach tailored to each person’s needs, stage of life and therapeutic goals. I support clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity questions, stress and emotional overwhelm, helping them develop insight, emotional resilience and meaningful change in their lives. My approach combines relational depth, psychodynamic understanding and experiential approaches, including psychodrama informed techniques where appropriate. Across all work, I prioritise building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, adapting the pace and depth of therapy to support emotional processing, self awareness and sustainable long term change.
Adolescent
Working with adolescents requires sensitivity to developmental stages, emotional regulation and identity formation. I offer a supportive yet containing space where young people can explore emotions, relationships, academic pressures, social challenges and their emerging sense of self in a way that feels safe and respectful. My approach aims to strengthen resilience, emotional awareness and confidence whilst respecting the adolescent’s growing autonomy and individuality. The therapeutic relationship remains central to the work, creating a grounded and collaborative space where young people can feel understood, supported and able to explore difficult experiences at their own pace.

Ready to Begin?
At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens through relationship, when people feel safe enough to explore honestly, understood enough to reflect more deeply, and supported enough to try new ways of being. What I find most rewarding is witnessing those moments when something shifts, when a client begins to see themselves differently, reconnects with themselves or others, or realises they are no longer defined by past experiences. If something in what you have read resonates, you are very welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to feel unsure. We can talk about what is bringing you here, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right fit. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out, and you do not have to navigate things on your own.
