About Jenny
Firstly, well done for taking this step towards starting therapy. It’s not always easy to recognise that something isn’t quite right. I am an integrative therapist, which means I tailor my approach to you and your individual needs, drawing from a range of techniques. We work entirely at your pace, building trust in a safe and non-judgemental space. You may be experiencing a recent loss, such as bereavement or a major life change like job loss. Perhaps you’ve always felt unhappy without fully understanding why, or you find relationships challenging and want to explore this with someone independent. You may also want to understand how past experiences are influencing how you feel today. My focus is to work with you to build a trusting relationship and provide a safe, supportive space for exploration, understanding, and personal growth.
My practice is collaborative. I see myself as a facilitator to guide you, rather than someone who gives advice. From the outset, you can expect a safe and non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever feels important to you. I work without a fixed agenda and will follow your lead. Together, we may explore what you want to gain from therapy and set goals, while remaining flexible as these can evolve over time. We will regularly check in to reflect on your progress and adjust our focus if needed. I may gently reflect what I notice — both verbally and non-verbally — within our therapeutic relationship, which can help you better understand how you relate to others outside of sessions. Everything is done at your pace, with care and sensitivity. The foundation of my work is building an open, trusting, and collaborative relationship where you feel safe to explore.
I spent 20 years working in the corporate world but always felt drawn towards becoming a therapist — it felt like my calling. During COVID, I took the step to retrain, and in September 2022, I established my private practice. I feel privileged to be trusted with my clients’ personal and often painful experiences. Supporting clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves is incredibly meaningful and rewarding to me. A quote that resonates deeply with me is: “The most important relationship you have in life is the one you have with yourself.” This reflects both my own therapeutic journey and the positive impact therapy can have.

Key Focus Areas
I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, and major life transitions such as redundancy or other significant changes. I also work with individuals looking to improve self-esteem and navigate relationship challenges. With 20 years of corporate experience and personal insight into life transitions, I bring both professional and lived experience into my work, helping create an open and understanding space for clients.
Therapeutic approach
My practice is rooted in person-centred principles, offering authenticity, empathy, and non-judgement. This approach supports you in feeling comfortable enough to explore your thoughts and emotions openly and at your own pace. I also integrate cognitive behavioural techniques where helpful, such as identifying thinking distortions and negative automatic thoughts that may contribute to anxiety or stress.
I may use psychoeducational tools like journalling to help increase awareness of triggers and patterns. For clients experiencing anxiety, I offer practical coping strategies including breathing techniques, grounding, and visualisation. By combining person-centred exploration with CBT tools, I support both deeper understanding and practical change.
