About Catherine
Anything on your mind is welcome - memories, thoughts, feelings, wishes, dreams, relationships, and even your reactions to me or the therapy itself. As we work together, we will make sense of past situations and current challenges while gently exploring unconscious processes that influence your thoughts and behaviours. Through this reflective process, you will begin to notice patterns, gain fresh insights, and develop greater self-understanding in a supportive and open environment.
Together, we work to: unpack difficult memories, unprocessed experiences, and distressing events. Explore feelings of anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, anger, emptiness, or ambivalence. Understand repetitive thoughts, impulses, and relational patterns. Become more consciously responsive rather than reactive. Clarify your wishes, values, needs, and beliefs, build healthier, more honest relationships with yourself and others. Learn to manage change and increase awareness of unconscious motivations. Explore experiences of loss, endings, and grief while nurturing inner strength and compassion.
My path into therapy was not linear. Before training as a therapist, I worked as an artist and museum manager, which taught me to look beneath the surface of human experience. I am deeply curious about the early environments, relationships, and life events that have shaped each person. My artistic background supports a flexible, intuitive, and creative approach rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all model. I adapt to each client’s rhythm - whether they need structure, spaciousness, gentle pacing, or deeper intensity. As a neurodivergent practitioner, I often notice emotional and relational patterns quickly, offering insights that support deeper self-understanding. At the heart of my work are curiosity, creativity, and respect for the full complexity of each person’s story.

Therapeutic approach
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a gentle and reflective approach that explores how past experiences influence present thoughts, emotions, and relationships. By working with both conscious and unconscious material, therapy supports greater emotional awareness and psychological balance. This approach encourages long-term growth, deeper insight, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
