About Anna
Whether you’re feeling anxious, low, burnt out, or stuck, counselling can offer a supportive space to pause, make sense of what’s going on, and reconnect with yourself. You may be struggling with self-esteem, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or finding relationships with partners, family, or colleagues difficult to navigate. I offer a relational, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approach that is inclusive and non-pathologising, creating a respectful space to explore your emotions, relationships, and sense of self at a pace that feels right for you.
I came to this work through my own experience of therapy and the profound changes it brought to my life. Personal therapy helped me develop a deeper understanding of myself, my emotions, and my patterns in relationships. It changed not only how I relate to others, but how I parent, how I live, and how I care for myself. Experiencing the power of being genuinely seen, understood, and supported shaped my belief in therapy as a meaningful and life-enhancing process, and ultimately led me to train as a therapist. At the heart of my work is the belief that people are not broken and do not need to be “fixed.” I see distress as a response to lived experience, relationships, environments, and expectations. Healing and change happen when people feel safe enough to explore their inner world, make sense of their experiences, and develop greater self-compassion, understanding, and choice. Therapy offers a space where this can unfold at a pace that feels respectful and sustainable. What I find most rewarding about my work is witnessing moments of insight, relief, or reconnection — when clients begin to understand themselves differently, feel less alone with their experiences, or start to relate to themselves and others with more kindness and confidence. Supporting people as they build emotional resilience and more authentic relationships is a privilege I don’t take lightly. A key lesson that informs my practice is the understanding that change does not come from pressure or judgement, but from curiosity, safety, and relationship. My own journey taught me that therapy can quietly and steadily transform how we experience ourselves and the world around us. This continues to guide my relational, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approach, grounded in respect for each person’s unique story.
My style as a therapist is warm, welcoming, and collaborative. I see clients as the experts in their own lives, while my role is to offer a safe, therapeutic space and gentle guidance to support whatever they need to explore. I work in a way that is responsive and flexible, always guided by each person’s unique way of experiencing and making sense of the world. Sessions with me are often described as calm, supportive, and affirming. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready, and no expectation to have everything figured out. I aim to create a friendly, non-judgemental environment where you can reflect openly, develop insight, and build resilience at a pace that feels right for you.

Key Focus Areas
I work with adults (16+) facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, work-related stress and burnout, trauma, life transitions, and difficulties in relationships. I have particular expertise in relational and attachment issues, informed by extensive additional training in trauma, sexuality and sexual problems, mind–body work, masculinity, menopause, and neurodiversity. I have significant experience supporting neurodiverse and LGBTQI+ clients, as well as those navigating challenges in intimate, family, or professional relationships.
My approach is trauma-informed, diversity-affirming, and integrative, combining talking therapy with practical tools, psychoeducation, and somatic techniques. I am especially passionate about helping people explore relationship patterns, attachment dynamics, and personal growth, drawing on both my lived experience of therapy and my professional training. This combination allows me to create a supportive, non-judgemental environment where clients feel safe to explore sensitive topics at their own pace. My professional foundation includes a qualification in counselling, alongside targeted training in relational therapy, trauma work, sexual health, mind–body approaches, and neurodiversity-informed practice.
Therapeutic approach
I work in an integrative, relational, and client-centred way. I see each person as the expert in their own life, while my role is to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgemental space where exploration can happen at your pace. My work is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and inclusive, adapting to your needs, neurotype, and life context.
Alongside talking therapy, I may offer psychoeducation and practical tools when these feel helpful and relevant. My work also includes a mind–body, or somatic, approach. This means paying attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to how experiences show up in the body - such as tension, restlessness, numbness, or shifts in energy. Gently noticing these signals can help build awareness, support emotional regulation, and create a greater sense of safety and balance. Somatic work is always invitational, simple, and adapted to your comfort, needs, and neurotype. Building safety and trust is central to my work, particularly in an online setting. I prioritise clear communication, consistency, and respect, and I work carefully to ensure sessions feel containing and supportive even when we are not in the same physical space. By working collaboratively, without pressure or judgement, I aim to offer a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and supported to explore whatever feels important to you.
I work with adults aged 16 and over using an integrative approach that combines talking therapy, practical tools, psychoeducation, and mind–body (somatic) techniques. My work is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and tailored to each person’s unique way of experiencing the world.
