Style, Experience & Training

Hello, I'm Andreas and thank you for checking out my profile. This is a difficult time for all of us, dealing with isolation and uncertainty. We all need the support of friends and family but sometimes we may need some professional help with certain issues. I am trained to help people struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, anger, shame, bereavement, trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, family and relationship issues.

I provide a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can feel free to talk about your concerns without fear of judgment. Together, we can explore and process difficult thoughts and feelings to help you make more sense of your current problems. With greater self-awareness, you will have the opportunity to change how you respond to these difficulties and build better ways of coping.

I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and therefore abide by their Ethical Framework and Professional Conduct Procedures. I've worked as a therapist in the NHS, for charities, in private practice and I am experienced with online and telephone therapy.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw upon different types of therapies, including Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) approaches. I like to work with my clients in a collaborative and respectful way and I tailor therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of each person.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in engineering and management for ten years. I realised that what I enjoyed most about those roles was creating the right environment for the people around me to grow and flourish. So I decided to study psychology and psychotherapy while working as a teacher, helping children with learning difficulties. After eight years of training, I began working as a psychotherapist in the NHS, and a few years later I opened up a private practice in London.

Beginning therapy is a big step towards improving your mental health and leading a more fulfilling life. Through therapy, you can change self-destructive behaviours and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve your relationships, and more. In our first session, we will spend some time getting to know one another. You don't have to leap into your deepest darkest secrets immediately. I offer both short and long-term therapy, which will depend upon your individual needs and goals.

To ensure I meet continuing professional BACP requirements, I receive monthly clinical supervision, I maintain professional indemnity insurance and I have a valid enhanced DBS check. Additionally, I attend regular training and professional development courses to broaden my therapeutic skills.
