I have been supporting people with various levels of anxiety and depression for 10 years. I am a qualified psychotherapist with a post graduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
I believe in ethical practice and I am guided by my accredited body the BABCP. Through them I strive to provide you with a safe, confidential therapeutic environment, where you will be able to be open and honest without fear of judgement.
Common conditions I have supported are; depression/low mood and motivation, social anxiety/shyness, sexual abuse, rape, PTSD, trauma, panic attacks, OCD, vomit and other phobias, loss/bereavement, relationship problems, domestic abuse, abortion, aggressive behaviour, and medication reduction support (e.g. anti depressants), long term health conditions; ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia.
One of the most beneficial things about CBT is that it provides tools and strategies to help you, the client, to be your own therapist (Beck). As a psychotherapist my goal is to support and empower you to achieve your own goals through self exploration, picking apart life/experiences and how it has turned you into the person you are today. By doing this you can process difficult memories and manage unhelpful behaviours, creating a greater sense of self confidence and allowing yourself to be you. The techniques we use in therapy will stay with you forever.
CBT can be adapted to meet your needs and learning ability. We can have sessions via the telephone, online chat, or face to face in your home or at a hired venue within Teesside. An initial assessment will be completed via telephone or online chat.

Online chat/skype £40 per hour
Face to face within Teesside £60 per hour
Home visits within Teesside £55 per hour
Telephone session £20 per 30 minutes
Payment is made via paypal or bank transfer prior to the session. If face to face cash payments can be arranged on the day.
Monday to Thursday afternoon to evening.
